The Story Behind Coaching With Fayza

The expertise that I bring to our joint process is, in addition to coaching and mentoring, my many years of experience as a C- Suite and senior professional in the Government and Private Sector.

My coaching focuses on leadership, communication, and change. In the coaching process, you benefit from my trained external perspective, the objectivity that I have and my ability to support you professionally in developing your own solution strategies.

My development and mentoring programs focus on leadership, team, and group building.

Prior to Coaching with Fayza, I worked in the banking and utilities sectors. I started my career as a junior business analyst and left my work at C- Suite level. Over the course of my 23-year career, I’ve worked for companies such as Oman International Bank, Majan Electricity Company, and Public Authority for Water (Diam). I took on several roles in the companies as an analyst, manager, senior manager, general manager, and Chief Supply Office. There have been many rewarding moments and achievements during my career. All of this has enabled me to develop not only as a manager but most importantly as a leader.

My approach in leadership is largely inspired by some leaders I worked with, had the privilege to meet during my career and others who I read their books, attended their webinars, trained, and developed by them, which you’ll find reflected in my coaching and mentoring.

Coach Fayza

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Microbiology (Major) and English Literature (Minor) from the University of Kuwait.

I did my ACTP Executive Coaching Program with the Center for Executive Coaching – USA. From that point, I decided to build my coaching skills and join ICF. I am continuously building my coaching career which is a non-stop development process for any coach as with every session we reflect and learn.

I believe that coaching requires flexibility, patience, listening skills, reading between the line, empathy, and acceptance. As a coach, mentor, and trainer, I aspire to live up to this notion by believing in the strengths of the people.

With a background in leading people and teams, I am passionate about Leadership Coaching and Mentoring. My passion is to empower more people at C- Level (especially ladies) and to embed the skills and sentiments to be a leader. My mission is also to empower leaders at different levels in the organizations.

My Coaching Journey

When I decide to build my coaching profession, I’ve developed a deep understanding of Executive Coaching through my ACTP (Accredited Coach Training Program) training with the Center For Executive Coaching. Then I realized that I was coaching people as part of my leadership style. How? Simply I was not directing all the time instead I was asking questions. I see the potential in people to empower them. I was listening to my team and providing them a safe environment full of trust. I always believed in my team and that they have the potential to grow and excel. So I was a leader and coach. Through my ACTP program, I learned and developed myself more as a professional coach. I learned about the various tools and assessments I can use in my coaching programs. It was a wonderful experience that allowed me to network with coaches from all over the world. The second main step in coaching was to be a member of ICF and EMCC. I learned the Ethics and standards of coaching which allowed me to elevate my coaching to a higher level of professionalism. I was ICF Oman Chapter leader from (Jan 2021 to April 2022).

I always believe that the journey of learning and self-development never stops. I started to build my coaching hours from the moment I enrolled in the coach training program. How I did that?
  • I started with a pro bono coaching program for a group of managers with my previous employer.
  • I have reached out to different organizations and people.
  • I did reciprocal coaching with some wonderful coaches in Oman and around the globe. That was a real learning and networking experience for me. Do you know why? because I made sure I receive the feedback and reflect after each reciprocal coaching session.
What else? As I always enjoyed working in groups and teams throughout my career, I decided to enroll in a team and group coaching program through IGNITE Global. I believe that if organizations want their teams and groups to work in harmony to exceed the results, team and group coaching can be the solution. So now I am a professional Team and Group coach. Also, to know more about people’s behavior to work better and understand each other, I have earned the qualification as a certified DiSC consultant with IPB partners. This is a summary of my coaching journey which will never stops….
